Application: MOLFERRUM™ 2S is an inorganic iron salt used primarily as a highly effective source of iron in pharmaceutical and nutritional formulations. It can be formulated into tablets, capsules, syrups, oral liquids, powders and multivitamin-mineral products to help prevent and manage iron deficiency and iron-deficiency anemia. It provides elemental iron that supports normal hemoglobin formation and red blood cell production.

(A) It gives the reactions of iron, ferrous salts and sulfate.
3 Solubility It is slowly soluble in water; insoluble in alcohol.
4 Arsenic Not more than 3 ppm.
5 Limit of Lead Not more than 10 ppm.
6 Mercury Not more than 3 ppm.
7 Insoluble substances Not more than 0.05%.
8 Assay Not less than 86.0% and not more than 89.0%. of anhydrous ferrous sulfate (FeSO4).

PACKAGING

MOLFERRUM™ 2S is packed in HDPE bag or HDPE drum with double PE liners inside and is provided with a barcoded label and a tamper-evident seal.

SHELF LIFE, STORAGE AND PACKING

The shelf life is 5 years. Preserve in tight containers.
