Applications: MOLFERRUM™ FG is a highly bioavailable iron salt used primarily as a hematinic in pharmaceutical and nutraceutical formulations. It is formulated into tablets, capsules, syrups, oral liquids, chewable tablets, powders and fortified nutritional products to help prevent and manage iron deficiency and iron-deficiency anemia. MOLFERRUM™ FG provides a readily available source of elemental iron, supporting normal hemoglobin formation and red blood cell production.

3 Solubility It is soluble in water, with slight heating; practically insoluble in alcohol.

8 Oxalic Acid No turbidity is produced within 5 min.
9 Reducing sugars No red precipitate is formed within 1 min.
10 Loss on drying Between 6.5% to 10.0%.
11 Assay Not less than 97.0% and not more than 102.0% of ferrous gluconate (C12H22FeO14), calculated on the dried basis.

PACKAGING

MOLFERRUM™ FG is packed in HDPE bag or HDPE drum with double PE liners inside and is provided with a barcoded label and a tamper-evident seal.

SHELF LIFE, STORAGE AND PACKING

The shelf life is 3 years. Preserve in tight containers.
