Applications: MOLFERRUM™ FG is a highly bioavailable iron salt used primarily as a hematinic in pharmaceutical and nutraceutical formulations. It is formulated into tablets, capsules, syrups, oral liquids, chewable tablets, powders and fortified nutritional products to help prevent and manage iron deficiency and iron-deficiency anemia. MOLFERRUM™ FG provides a readily available source of elemental iron, supporting normal hemoglobin formation and red blood cell production.

3 Solubility It is freely but slowly soluble in water giving a greenish-brown solution, more readily soluble in hot water, practically insoluble in ethanol (96%).
4 Appearance of solution The solution is clear.
5 pH Between 4.0 to 5.5.
6 Sucrose and reducing sugars No red precipitate is formed.
7 Chlorides Not more than 0.06%.
8 Oxalates No precipitate is formed.
9 Sulfates Not more than 500 ppm.
10 Elemental impurities

(A) Not more than 2 ppm.

PACKAGING

MOLFERRUM™ FG is packed in HDPE bag or HDPE drum with double PE liners inside and is provided with a barcoded label and a tamper-evident seal.

SHELF LIFE, STORAGE AND PACKING

The shelf life is 3 years. Preserve in tight containers.
